Bond Terms and Conditions
Bonds, Payments & Hire Conditions
A refundable bond is required for all hire items. This helps protect our equipment and ensures it remains clean, safe, and in excellent condition for all customers.
Full payment is due 14 days prior to your event date.
All electrical equipment is thoroughly tested prior to delivery or collection. We strongly recommend plugging electrical items directly into a wall socket rather than using extension leads or power boards where possible.
Please do not switch off any power sources connected to our equipment before pack down unless discussed directly with our team. If any electrical item is returned damaged or not functioning due to misuse during the hire period, this may result in the loss of your bond.
The hirer is fully responsible for all equipment from the time it is delivered or collected until it is returned. Any lost, stolen, damaged, or broken items must be repaired or replaced at the hirer's expense.
If unforeseen circumstances arise, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling options. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for cancellations or changes made within 30 days of your event.
Delivery
Our standard delivery fees are:
- $120 for locations within 30km of Greenhithe
- $160 for locations within 40km of Greenhithe
These fees include delivery, setup, pack down, and collection. Please contact us for a quote if your venue is more than 40km from Greenhithe.
Please ensure someone is available at the agreed delivery and collection times. If we are unable to complete delivery or collection due to the customer being unavailable, this may result in the loss of the bond.
The person who makes the booking accepts full responsibility for all hired items. Any items not returned will result in the immediate forfeiture of the bond and may incur additional replacement costs.
Additional service fees may apply as follows:
- Collection after 5:30pm: $50 late collection fee
- Delivery before 8:30am: $50 early delivery fee
- Deliveries or collections during Auckland peak traffic times (6:30am–9:30am and 3:30pm–6:30pm): $50 peak traffic fee
Parking & Venue Access
Please ensure there is a clear and legal parking space available as close as possible to the venue entrance.
For the safety of our staff and equipment, we reserve the right to refuse setup if suitable parking or safe access is not available. In these situations, we may only be able to drop off the equipment, or in some cases be unable to provide the service at all. No refund will be given if access requirements have not been met.
Please ensure all access and parking requirements are considered before making your booking.
Bouncy Castles
The safety of our customers is our highest priority.
Bouncy castles cannot be operated during rain, strong winds, or unsafe weather conditions. If weather conditions prevent setup, we do not offer refunds. However, customers may:
- Reschedule to another available date, or
- Retain the full booking value as credit for up to 12 months
We strongly recommend having an indoor backup venue where possible.
Bouncy Castle Bonds
All bouncy castle hires require a $100 refundable bond.
If the castle is returned dirty, the bond may be retained to cover cleaning products and up to two hours of cleaning labour.
Foam Letter Bonds
The foam letter bond contributes towards replacement costs if a letter is returned damaged and no longer suitable for future hire.
Replacement foam letters cost in excess of $200 each, excluding freight, collection, and associated costs.
Soft Play Bonds
To help us maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, we ask that all balls are returned to the ball pit prior to collection. Failure to do so may result in the loss of your bond.
Food, drinks, face paint, glitter, sharp objects, and animals are strictly prohibited on or around any soft play equipment.
Any food or drink spills, staining, or damage occurring during the hire period may result in the loss of your bond and may incur an additional cleaning fee of up to $200.
Permanent Damage
Where equipment is returned with permanent damage, the hirer will be responsible for all repair or replacement costs in addition to any bond forfeiture.
Permanent damage includes, but is not limited to:
- Broken or damaged equipment
- Permanent staining (including from face paint, slime, certain foods, drinks, or dyes)
- Tears, cuts, or punctures
- Damage caused by sharp objects
- High heel marks or indentations on soft play mats
- Missing parts or accessories
- Any damage that prevents the item from being safely hired again
Where replacement is required, the customer will be charged the full retail replacement cost of the affected item(s).
